What is a PWA?
A Progressive Web App is a website that your device can install like an app. You still use the same CoWorkly account and see the same data, but:
- It has its own icon on your home screen, desktop, taskbar or dock.
- It opens in its own window, without the browser's address bar and tabs.
- It loads faster, because your device keeps a copy of the design files, icons and scripts.
- It updates itself. There is nothing to download when we release something new.
- It takes up very little space compared to a store app.
Before you start
Open app.coworklyapp.com in your browser and sign in. Then follow the steps for your device below.
Install on Android (Chrome)
- Open CoWorkly in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen).
- Tap Install to confirm.
The CoWorkly icon now appears on your home screen and in your app drawer. Samsung Internet and Edge on Android work the same way from their menus.
Install on iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open CoWorkly in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Keep the name "CoWorkly" and tap Add.
Open CoWorkly from the new home screen icon, not from Safari, to get the full-screen app experience.
Install on Windows or Mac (Chrome or Edge)
- Open CoWorkly in Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Look for the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a small screen with a down arrow).
- Click it, then click Install.
If you don't see the icon, open the browser menu instead. In Chrome, go to Cast, save and share → Install page as app. In Edge, go to Apps → Install this site as an app.
CoWorkly then opens in its own window. You can pin it to the taskbar on Windows or keep it in the Dock on a Mac, so it is always one click away.
Using Safari on a Mac? On macOS Sonoma or later, choose File → Add to Dock.

What happens when you lose your connection?
CoWorkly keeps your bookings, invoices and members up to date in real time, so it needs an internet connection to work. If your connection drops, the app shows a simple "you're offline" page instead of a broken screen. Once you are back online, just reload and carry on where you left off.
How to uninstall
- Android: long-press the icon and choose Uninstall.
- iPhone or iPad: long-press the icon and choose Remove App, then Delete from Home Screen.
- Windows or Mac: open CoWorkly, click the three-dot menu in the app window's title bar, and choose Uninstall.
Uninstalling only removes the shortcut from your device. Your account and all your data stay safe in CoWorkly.
